Sumter School District isn’t the best place for education nor food. As a senior, they’re quite a few outstanding administrators. However, the diversity, college readiness, and overall academic success is not the best. My schools test scores lack severely. Teachers aren’t completely focused on teaching the education needed to pass the state exams nor the classroom tests. Not to mention the demeanor throughout the campus isn’t the best. Students and administrators are often disrespectful. Students have no respect for the campus, teachers, administration, nor each other. WMHS is a toxic environment. The bathrooms aren’t the cleanest, also they’re violent and immature things written in the bathroom stalls. I would like to see college readiness activity participation change. In my opinion, I personally feel like a dress code should be brought back. Students are too focused on their clothes rather than education. Students spend more time in ISS than the classroom due to dress code.

The only thing I like about the Sumter school district is how everybody knows everybody. It's a really small community so it's easy to make contacts. On the flip side the community is small minded, everyone is selfish, everyone is stubborn, and no one is very knowledgeable or able to help your future.
