IHG One Rewards is currently offering a lucrative sale on award nights, which could save you quite a few points on a redemption. This promotion was initially only available to those with a co-branded IHG credit card, and it has now been extended to IHG One Rewards elite members as well.

Save 15% on free night award redemptions
IHG One Rewards is offering members 15% savings on award stays:
- You must book by Saturday, April 27, 2024
- You must stay by Monday, June 10, 2024
- This is available to those who have theIHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card(review) orIHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card(review), as well as non-cardmembers who have IHG Platinum or IHG Diamond status
- The offer is only available for stays of up to three nights; that’s because cardmembers get a fourth night free on award redemptions, so that’s a better value on longer stays
- The 15% discount is offered at the time of booking (you should see both the original price and discounted price listed)
- This can also be applied to Points & Cash bookings, but only the points portion is discounted
If you have any upcoming travel plans, this offer is definitely worth keeping in mind. And if you have already booked any stays during the offer period but can still rebook, that could be worth doing.
This is a generous offer that’s worth it
This offer from IHG is potentially quite lucrative:
- Since IHG One Rewards largely has dynamic award pricing, you might as well redeem when there’s a further discount on redemptions
- This is even useful for those with IHG free night certificates; they can be used for properties costing up to 40,000 points per night without a top-off, so you could redeem at more expensive properties than usual with this offer
- I’d say the major catch here is the limited travel window, as you need to stay in the next several weeks
The IHG One Rewards loyalty program has been nicely refreshed, with new perks for IHG Platinum and IHG Diamond members, plus the IHG Milestone Rewards program. When the new program was launched in the spring of 2022, we were promised that there would be occasional award sales, so this is one of those. We last saw such a promotion in early 2024.
Bottom line
IHG One Rewards is offering a 15% discount on award stays. This is valid for bookings through April 27, 2024, and for stays through June 10, 2024. This is available to those with a co-branded IHG credit card, and it’s available to IHG Diamond and Platinum members. This could be a great time to make an IHG award booking with points or a free night certificate.

For points + cash, I see the cash portion also discounted, although the discount I see on the cash portion is around 8.5% only, not 15%.

Tried to use it on six senses koh yao noi but it won’t show 15% off. Six senses are excluded?
