BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The 2024 NBA Draft will be conducted on Wednesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 27. The first round will be held at Barclays Center on Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m. Central with television coverage provided by ABC and ESPN. The second round will take place at ESPN's Seaport District Studios in New York on Thursday beginning at 3 p.m. Central with television coverage provided by ESPN.

Former Longhorns Max Abmas and Dylan Disu are draft eligible.

Since the NBA Draft lottery started in 1985, UT has produced nine lottery picks (a draft selection whose position is determined through the lottery). Those nine selections include LaMarcus Aldridge (No. 2 pick in 2006), Kevin Durant (No. 2 pick in 2007), Tristan Thompson (No. 4 pick in 2011), Mohamed Bamba (No. 6 pick in 2018), Chris Mihm (No. 7 pick in 2000), T.J. Ford (No. 8 pick in 2003), Jaxson Hayes (No. 8 pick in 2019), D.J. Augustin (No. 9 pick in 2008) and Myles Turner (No. 11 pick in 2015). Since 2004, a lottery pick has included the top 14 selections in the draft.

Since the NBA Draft began in 1947, a total of 48 Longhorns have heard their names called on draft night. Texas has produced a total of 19 first-round selections and 13 second-round picks in program history. UT has had 23 players drafted in the last 25 years (dating back to the 1999 Draft), including 18 players selected in the last 18 years.

Max Abmas played and started 157 games and registered collegiate career totals of 3,132 points (19.9 ppg), 536 assists (3.4 apg), 514 rebounds (3.3 rpg) and 171 steals (1.1 spg) in 5,468 minutes (34.8 mpg) during his five seasons at Texas (2023-24) and Oral Roberts (2019-23). Abmas concluded his collegiate career ranked No. 8 on the NCAA Division I men's all-time scoring list (3,132 points) and No. 3 on the NCAA Division I men's all-time career three-point field goals made chart (512). He became just the third player in NCAA Division I men's history to record BOTH 3,000 points AND 500 assists, joining Antoine Davis (Detroit Mercy) and Keydren Clark (Saint Peter's).

Abmas converted 38.3-percent (512-1337) from three-point range and 88.4-percent (550-622) from the free throw line during his career. A two-time CSC (College Sports Communicators) Academic All-America first-team selection, Abmas was recognized as the 2024 CSC Academic All-America Division I Men's Basketball Team Member of the Year. He earned his BS in Mathematics from Oral Roberts in Spring 2023 and received a graduate certificate in Strategic Communication from Texas in Spring 2024.

During his one season at Texas (2023-24), Abmas played and started all 34 games and led the team in scoring (16.8 ppg), assists (140, 4.12 apg) and minutes (35.1 mpg). He earned All-Big 12 First Team (media), NABC All-District 8 First Team and Big 12 All-Newcomer Team recognition in addition to All-Big 12 Second Team (coaches) accolades. A three-time Big 12 Newcomer of the Week selection (Dec. 18, Jan. 15 and Feb. 5), Abmas converted 42.5-percent (194-456) from the floor, including a 36.2-percent (92-254) mark from three-point range, and 90.0-percent (90-100) from the free throw line on the year. He tied the UT single-season record for most three-pointers made (50) in Big 12 Conference play, sharing the mark with both Kevin Durant (2006-07) and Daniel Gibson (2005-06), and he ranked third on the UT single-season list for highest free throw percentage (90.0). Abmas also posted a 1.82-to-1 (140-77) assist-to-turnover ratio on the season.

Dylan Disu played in 136 career games (104 starts) during his five seasons at Texas (2021-24) and Vanderbilt (2019-21). Disu claimed Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors in two different leagues over the course of his career, as he received the honor in the Big 12 in 2023-24 and the SEC in 2020-21.

As a fifth-year player at Texas in 2023-24, Disu played in 25 games (20 starts) after missing the first nine contests of the season due to left foot surgery. He ranked second on the team in scoring (15.5 ppg) and rebounding (5.0 rpg), third in blocks (28), fourth in minutes (25.8 mpg) and tied for fourth in steals (32). Disu converted 45.1-percent (41-91) from three-point range and 81.2-percent (69-85) from the free throw line on the year. Disu was named the Big 12's Most Improved Player and also claimed All-Big 12 First Team (coaches) and NABC All-District 8 Second Team honors. In Big 12 Conference play only, he ranked second in the league in scoring (17.2 ppg) while averaging 5.2 rebounds per game and adding 26 steals and 19 blocks in 26.7 minutes per game.
